Carnival Concert Hall
In the heart of St. Petersburg, at the corner of Nevsky and Fontanka, there is located a magnificent monument of Russian architecture of the XVIII-XIX centuries, the Anichkov Palace. At various times, the Palace belonged to the favorites of empresses Elizabeth and Catherine II, and later it became the residence of the royal family.
In 1986, Carnival, a modern theatre and concert hall, was built in the territory of the Anichkov estate; in 2017, it was completely renovated: a beautiful hall, a marble foyer and plants make the concert hall look modern and stylish.
Carnival theatre and concert complex includes a number of venues.
The main venue: Carnival Theatre and Concert Hall has 730 seats, and there is also a three-level theatre lobby of the same capacity.
Small venues in Anichkov Palace: concert hall: 250 seats; 3 state drawing rooms; small stage: 150 seats.
During the high tourist season, the theatre shows performances of classical Russian ballet. You are offered to see «Swan Lake», «Giselle», «Sleeping Beauty», «Nutcracker», «Don Quixote» and other ballets.
